The Psychologically Safe Leader

The psychology of what to notice, and what to say next.

A 6-module online capability program for people who lead others. Self-paced, structured around the Cone of Health™ and aligned to ISO 45003. Developed and delivered by Genevieve Johnson, Psychologist.

Pre-sale opens 21 October 2026. Program begins 1 February 2027.

Psychological safety is built in everyday leadership moments

Professor Amy Edmondson's research describes psychological safety as a team's shared belief that it is safe to take interpersonal risks, such as speaking up, asking a question or raising a concern (Edmondson, 1999). Leaders shape that belief through what they notice, how they respond, and how the work is designed.

ISO 45003, the international standard for psychological health and safety at work, provides guidance for managing psychosocial risks alongside every other workplace risk. In Australia, work health and safety laws now require it.

The Psychologically Safe Leader is aligned to ISO 45003 and translates the psychological science into practical habits, conversations and tools for people who lead others.
